John J. Egan, Jr. – President

John Egan has been active in Philadelphia and the surrounding region’s business, government and political scene for over 40 years. Mr. Egan founded J. Egan & Associates, LLC in 2004. Additionally, Mr. Egan retired as President of the Board of City Trusts in 2011 after serving as a member of the Board for over 30 years.

Mr. Egan’s experience in the field of finance is extensive, having served as the Chairman of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange and as Executive Vice President of Raymond James & Associates. Mr. Egan also served as a founding member and Treasurer of the Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority (PICA).

Politically, Mr. Egan was the Republican candidate for the Mayor of Philadelphia in the 1983 and 1987 elections.

Mr. Egan has developed unique relationships with members of the Pennsylvania Legislature as well as members of Philadelphia City Council and the Mayor’s Administration as a result of his involvement in the local political and business community.



Ashley Via Maass

Ashley Via Maass joined J. Egan & Associates in 2009, and has been active in local and state level politics for more than 7 years working as a lobbyist. Ms. Maass advises our clients on relevant policy matters and is experienced in creating issue advocacy campaigns, strategic communication plans, fundraising initiatives and providing community relations support.

Previously, Ms. Maass gained experience in the field of marketing and advertising, as the Marketing Coordinator for Vogue, Self and Vogue Living magazines in the Miami office of Condé Nast Publications.

A native of Philadelphia, Ms. Via is a cum laude graduate of the University of Miami Honors Program and with a BA in International Relations and Spanish. She is active in the Philadelphia community, serving as a mentor to a Cristo Rey High School Student, as well as the Young Friends Board of Cristo Rey. She and her husband live in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia, where she is an active supporter of Mt. Airy USA.
