John J. Egan, Jr. – President

John Egan has been active in Philadelphia and the surrounding region’s business, government and political scene for over 40 years. Mr. Egan founded J. Egan & Associates, LLC in January of 2011 after serving as the Chairman of Egan Bloom & Associates, LLC for 6 years. Additionally, Mr. Egan is President of the Board of City Trusts and has served as a member of the Board for over 30 years.

Mr. Egan’s experience in the field of finance is extensive, having served as the Chairman of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange and as Executive Vice President of Raymond James & Associates. Mr. Egan also served as a founding member and Treasurer of the Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority (PICA).

Politically, Mr. Egan was the Republican candidate for the Mayor of Philadelphia in the 1983 and 1987 elections.

Mr. Egan has developed unique relationships with members of the Pennsylvania Legislature as well as members of Philadelphia City Council and the Mayor’s Administration as a result of his involvement in the local political and business community.



Ashley T. Via

Prior to the founding of J. Egan & Associates, LLC in 2010, Ms. Via has been active in local and state level politics for more than 2 years working as a lobbyist for Egan Bloom & Associates, LLC. Through her experience working in government relations, Ms. Via has developed relationships with various Commonwealth officials, their staff members as well as City of Philadelphia Governmental officials. She also monitors and tracks legislation, keeping our clients informed of any pending legislation and how it may impact their initiatives.

Previously, Ms. Via gained experience in the field of marketing and advertising, as the Marketing Coordinator for Vogue, Self and Vogue Living magazines in the Miami office of Condé Nast Publications.

A native of Philadelphia, Ms. Via is a cum laude graduate of the University of Miami Honors Program and holds degrees in International Relations and Spanish. She also Chairs the Alumni Athletic Committee for Springside School and serves as the Co-Chair of the Young Professionals of the American Heart Association’s Philadelphia Chapter and is on the Board of the Pennsylvania Ballet Young Friends.
